BACKGROUND
In 1994, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts signed two 50-year leases: one in February with the city of Prague and the other in April with a private owner to erect a five-star hotel.
Four Seasons then approached Campenon Bernard (which became VINCI Construction Grands Projets in 2000) since the Company had experience both locally and in the hotel-construction sector (Alta Hotel and Prague’s Hilton Hotel).
Under the watchful eye of Prague’s historical monuments authority and following archeological digs at the site, VINCI Construction Grands Projets managed the project from the design and planning stages to rehabilitation and construction (with the aim of making the hotel an extraordinary setting).
