BACKGROUND
Cairo is considered one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Its population makes it the largest city in North Africa.
To respond to the needs of this population, the city had to invest in state-of-the art infrastructure. This is why the construction of a teaching hospital bringing together various medical activities proved to be necessary.
The inauguration of the Kasr El Aini hospital took place in April 1996 in the presence of then presidents Moubarak of Egypt and Chirac of France.
